through adolescence, by fostering a supportive and enriching environment that extends to their
parents and the broader community. We are committed to nurturing the physical, emotional,

Our Story

Mommy's Imagination Station was founded by Tashanna Hall, President. Back in Feb 2020 during the Pandemic to assist the community with child care services and family resources.  Helping families who struggled with affordable child care and early childhood education crisis system.

Our Mission

Mommy’s Imagination Station ™ Nonprofit 501C3  Our mission is to champion the holistic development of every child, from early childhood through adolescence, by fostering a supportive and enriching environment that extends to their parents and the broader community. We are committed to nurturing the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being of each individual, recognizing the interconnections of these dimensions in shaping well-rounded and resilient individuals.

The "Out of School Program" at MIS serves as a supervised, secure space for school-age children during non-school hours, encompassing both an after-school initiative and a mentoring ship program for youth. This initiative provides essential exploration opportunities.

MIS's School Age/Out-Of-School Time (After School & Summer Camp Program) focuses on building robust social and emotional skills, leading to increased graduation rates, and a higher likelihood of college degree attainment and full-time employment by age 25. Our diverse Programs/Activities include:

1. Early Childhood Education Daycare  (2.5 -13 years old): Prioritizing social and emotional development, advocating for elevated childcare quality, and championing diversity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness.

2. MISI Family Reunion Program: Establishing a secure zone for scheduled visitations for children and parents collaborating with CYF, along with educational parenting classes and resources.

3. Social Saturday (Juniors/teen Game Nights): Providing a secure and welcoming environment for school-age children to engage in educational video games, board games, and card games.

4. Financial Literacy Lab (Sunday): Conducting workshops and classes for school-age children delving into the realm of money and finance, covering subjects such as STEM, entrepreneurship, budgeting, savings, debt, credit, and college readiness.

Through MISI, we aspire to ignite a community movement, fostering joyous and robust connections among children and families. Our highly trained instructors and volunteers prioritize customer service, security, and cleanliness, delivering captivating activities that spark imagination, promote teamwork, and cultivate curiosity in children.

Our Story

Mommy's Imagination Station ™, established in February 2020, stands as a nonprofit 501C3 organization founded by Tashanna Hall, our esteemed President. At the core of our mission is the commitment to providing a secure and enjoyable environment while advocating for comprehensive social and emotional development opportunities for all children. Our board members, all parents themselves, remain deeply connected to community needs, ensuring the provision of the optimal experience for your families. MIS also owns Hall's Family Academy (which is Minority owned, Woman Owned, and Small Business Owned) same mission. HFA has been operating since Feb 4, 2018.

Guided by the principles of self-confidence, respect, creativity, honesty, and unbiased support, we recognize the intrinsic qualities of children—laughter, exploration, and carefree imagination. Our focus extends beyond the text book critical period of brain development from infancy to 8 years old. MIS, aims to serve as a crucial resource and support system for parents grappling with the challenges of childcare.

Since our inception, Mommy's Imagination Station ™ has been dedicated to serving the Hilltop Community of Pittsburgh's Allegheny County. Primary areas 15203, 15210, and 15211. Annually, we extend our support to over 1,500 children and 1,500 parents in low-income and minority households, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to fostering a positive impact. There are 26,000 children on PA childcare waiting list and more than 3,000 children on foster care list with DHS/CYF.

Tashanna Hall, as the Founder, continues to lead with vision and dedication, ensuring that Mommy's Imagination Station ™ remains at the forefront of providing essential services to our community.

Appointments

Mommy’s Imagination Station ™ is a distinguished Nonprofit 501C3 Organization committed to fostering the holistic development of children, spanning from early childhood through adolescence. Our unwavering mission is to cultivate a supportive and enriching environment that extends to parents and the broader community, nurturing each individual's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being.

Through MIS, our overarching aim is to spearhead a community movement, nurturing happy and healthy bonds among children and families. Our adept instructors and volunteers, prioritizing customer service, security, and cleanliness, curate engaging activities that spark imagination, foster teamwork, and cultivate curiosity in children.

Moreover, our childcare services are available Monday to Friday from 6 am to 9 pm year-round. MIS community center operates as appointment base only for schedule programming less than 24 hours a day and fewer than 180 days in a year.  Drop- in services with appointment withing 24 hours of needing care, if required for emergencies only. The CYF program is specifically tailored to provide a secure and play-based early childhood education environment for children, catering to parents and their caseworkers. Community Center/ Family Friendly Area Outside Of Daycare Space: Operating Hours:

24 hours non traditional/Drop-In/ Emergency case by case if needed. We partner with CYF -Child and Youth Services to keep children reunited with family.

(Note that specific programs may have outlined dates and times. We operate on an appointment-only basis. (ALL PARENTS AND/OR CASEWORKERS are required to be on site for Community Center ONLY)! Call or email to schedule an appointment. NO walk-in accepted.

Our Vision

Mommy's Imagination Station™ actively contributes to the well-being of families, providing crucial support for parents transitioning back into the workforce. Our primary focus lies on assisting low-income, single-parent, and MINORITY households, creating a secure environment for children while aiding parents in restoring stability.

Our comprehensive approach involves five solutions centered around stimulating each child's imagination and promoting proactive parent-child bonding. Acknowledging the unique challenges faced by single parents, we understand the impact on social dynamics, mental well-being, and child development. Through the provision of resources, our goal is to alleviate these challenges, ultimately fostering improved households and contributing to a more content world.

The foundation of our commitment is encapsulated in C.R.E.E.D. (Conflict Resolution, Rules, Equipment, Expectations, Designs), symbolizing our dedication to nurturing creative and healthy concepts. This framework ensures that children experience happiness and the freedom to express their authentic selves.
